As an undergrad at Texas A&M University in College Station, Amanda studied Biomedical Science and Wildlife and Fishery Science. As a junior, she sustained a debilitating back injury while playing for the Aggie Polo Team and was unable to ride or do team workouts. Fortunately, she was able to find a local chiropractor with a shared love for horses who was able to treat her. Within a few weeks of treatments, Amanda was back in the saddle and competing in the National Intercollegiate Tournament for Texas A&M.
This experience, along with seeing the benefit of chiropractic care for her equine athletes, is what inspired her to become a chiropractor. While studying at Parker University in Dallas, Amanda gained valuable experience working with elite athletes at the Dr. Pepper Stars Center and the Texas Advantage Volleyball Club. Her specialty is the prevention and treatment of injuries to extremities with chiropractic adjustments, fascial distortion model and cold laser. Her love for horses led her to also seek additional certifications to treat animals.
In Dr. Massey’s free time she is an avid equestrian, master’s swimmer, lake enthusiast, eater of eclectic foods and a world traveler.
